By accepting a quotation, booking services, paying a deposit or permitting Works to commence, the Customer acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

  • "Company" means Mannum Electrical.
  • "Customer" means the person or entity requesting goods or services from the Company.
  • "Works" means all electrical works, solar installations, battery installations, air conditioning services, repairs, maintenance, testing, commissioning, fault finding and associated labour performed by the Company.
  • "Goods" means all products, equipment, components and materials supplied by the Company including but not limited to solar panels, batteries, inverters, switchboards, cabling, lighting, electrical accessories and air conditioning equipment.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting a quotation, requesting services, paying a deposit, or permitting the Company to commence Works, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Quotations

  1. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  2. Quotations are based on visible and accessible site conditions at the time of inspection.
  3. Hidden defects, inaccessible areas or unforeseen conditions may result in additional charges.
  4. Variations to the scope of Works may alter pricing and completion timeframes.
  5. Verbal estimates are indicative only and are not binding quotations.

4. Deposits and Payment

  1. The Company may require a deposit before ordering materials or scheduling Works.
  2. Progress payments may apply to larger projects.
  3. Payment for service, maintenance and repair work is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  4. The Company reserves the right to suspend Works or withhold commissioning until payment is received in full.
  5. Overdue accounts may incur interest, administration fees and debt recovery costs.
  6. The Customer is responsible for all reasonable legal and recovery expenses associated with unpaid invoices.

5. Variations and Additional Works

  1. Any additional work requested by the Customer or required due to site conditions will be charged separately unless expressly included in the quotation.
  2. Additional electrical compliance work identified during installation or repairs may be mandatory under Australian Standards or SA Power Networks requirements and will be chargeable.

6. Electrical Works and Services

  1. The Company performs general electrical installation, repairs, maintenance, testing and fault-finding services.
  2. Existing electrical faults or unsafe installations discovered during Works may require immediate rectification.
  3. The Company may isolate unsafe electrical equipment where required by law or safety regulations.
  4. Unless specifically included in writing, quotations do not include: switchboard upgrades; consumer mains upgrades; asbestos removal; trenching or civil works; patching or painting; rectification of existing faults; or after-hours attendance.
  5. Repair and fault-finding work is charged based on labour, materials and time spent locating faults, regardless of whether the fault can ultimately be repaired.

7. Emergency and Service Call-Outs

  1. Service call fees may apply including travel, labour and after-hours rates.
  2. Minimum call-out charges may apply.
  3. After-hours, weekend and public holiday work may incur additional charges.

8. Air Conditioning Supply, Installation and Maintenance

  1. The Company supplies, installs, services and maintains air conditioning systems.
  2. Air conditioning quotations are based on standard installation conditions unless otherwise stated.
  3. Additional charges may apply for: difficult roof access; long pipe runs; electrical upgrades; condensate pumps; crane hire; structural modifications; or non-standard mounting requirements.
  4. Preventative maintenance does not guarantee against future equipment failure.
  5. Manufacturer warranties apply subject to proper servicing and operation.
  6. The Customer is responsible for maintaining clear access to indoor and outdoor units.
  7. The Company is not responsible for reduced performance caused by poor insulation, building design, lack of maintenance, dirty filters, power supply issues or environmental conditions.

9. Solar and Battery Installations

  1. Solar generation estimates are indicative only and actual performance may vary.
  2. Battery storage performance depends on usage patterns, environmental conditions and manufacturer specifications.
  3. Backup power functionality varies between systems and may not power the entire property during outages.
  4. Monitoring systems require stable internet access provided by the Customer.

10. Site Access and Safety

The Customer agrees to: provide safe and uninterrupted access to the property; ensure pets and occupants are kept clear of work areas; inform the Company of known hazards including asbestos, structural defects or unsafe wiring; obtain any required landlord, strata or council approvals before Works commence.

The Company reserves the right to suspend or refuse unsafe work conditions.

11. Existing Conditions and Compliance

  1. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing defects, deterioration or non-compliant installations.
  2. If unsafe or non-compliant electrical work is identified, the Company may be legally required to disconnect or report the issue.
  3. Any mandatory rectification work required to achieve compliance will be charged separately unless specifically included.

12. Delays and Availability

  1. Completion dates are estimates only.
  2. The Company is not liable for delays caused by: weather conditions; supplier shortages; grid approvals; shipping delays; customer availability; power outages; or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

13. Warranties

  1. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products and equipment.
  2. Installation workmanship is warranted for 5 years unless otherwise stated in writing.
  3. Warranty claims exclude: misuse or neglect; accidental damage; vermin or pest damage; storm or water damage; third-party interference; unauthorised modifications; consumable items; or lack of maintenance.
  4. Warranty service may be subject to manufacturer assessment and approval.

14. Limitation of Liability

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for: indirect or consequential loss; business interruption; loss of profits or savings; product manufacturer delays; pre-existing site conditions; or failures caused by third-party products or services.
  2. Liability is limited to repair, replacement or rectification of defective workmanship or supplied goods.

15. Ownership of Goods

  1. All supplied goods remain the property of the Company until payment is received in full.
  2. The Company reserves the right to recover unpaid goods where permitted by law.

16. Cancellations and Refunds

  1. Cancellation after acceptance may incur administration, labour, restocking and supplier cancellation fees.
  2. Custom ordered or special-order equipment may be non-refundable.
  3. Deposits paid for ordered equipment may be non-refundable once materials have been purchased.

17. Government Rebates and Incentives (Solar & Battery)

  1. The Company may assist Customers in understanding available government rebates and incentives including but not limited to the South Australian Home Battery Scheme, Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), and other state or federal programs.
  2. Rebate and incentive amounts are determined by the relevant government authority and are subject to change without notice. The Company does not guarantee the availability, amount or continued existence of any rebate or incentive.
  3. STC values fluctuate based on market conditions. Any STC discount applied to a quotation is based on the estimated value at the time of quoting and may vary at the time of installation.
  4. The Customer is responsible for ensuring they meet all eligibility criteria for any rebate or incentive claimed. The Company is not liable for rebate applications that are rejected, reduced or clawed back due to the Customer's ineligibility.
  5. If a rebate or incentive cannot be claimed for any reason — including but not limited to Customer ineligibility, changes to government programs, or failure to meet technical requirements — the Customer remains liable for the full contract price of the Works. Any rebate discount applied at the time of quotation will be payable in full by the Customer if the rebate is not received.
  6. Changes to government rebate programs after a quotation has been accepted may affect the final price. The Company will notify the Customer of any material changes as soon as practicable.
  7. The Home Battery Scheme (SA) requires the battery system to meet specific technical requirements and be installed by an approved installer. The Company will advise on eligibility at the time of quotation.

18. Brighte Finance

  1. The Company offers access to consumer finance through Brighte Capital Pty Ltd (ABN 74 609 165 906) ("Brighte") as an introducer only.
  2. Finance applications are assessed and approved solely by Brighte. The Company does not guarantee approval of any finance application.
  3. Credit criteria, fees, charges, and terms and conditions set by Brighte apply. The Customer should read and understand Brighte's terms and conditions before applying.
  4. The Company does not provide financial advice. Customers are encouraged to consider whether finance is appropriate for their circumstances.
  5. Any dispute relating to a Brighte finance arrangement must be directed to Brighte directly. The Company is not a party to the finance agreement between the Customer and Brighte.
  6. Commencement of Works may be subject to confirmation of finance approval where a Brighte arrangement has been selected as the payment method.

19. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for delays or inability to perform Works caused by events beyond reasonable control including severe weather, natural disasters, industrial disputes, supplier shortages, transport interruptions or government restrictions.

20. Privacy

The Customer authorises the Company to collect and use information necessary to provide services, process warranties, comply with legal obligations and manage accounts.

21. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of South Australian courts.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Customer Acknowledgement

By accepting a quotation, booking services, paying a deposit or permitting Works to commence, the Customer acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
